Volunteers whose time and effort support charitable work received public recognition during the Zakat Foundation of America’s Annual Volunteer Award Ceremony, a gathering focused on gratitude, service, and community responsibility.
The event took place on July 19, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Merrick Golf Course, located at 2550 Clubhouse Road in Merrick, New York. Guests gathered in the upstairs meeting room for lunch and an awards program honoring volunteers connected with the foundation’s outreach and humanitarian work.
Among those present were Nayma Kose, Outreach and Community Engagement Director of Zakat Foundation of America, and Murat Kose of Zakat Foundation of America. Mursheda Mira and Sharah Khan, both representing the organization’s New York office, also attended the event. Their presence reflected the foundation’s support for volunteers and the role of staff members in building stronger connections between the organization and the communities it serves.
The annual ceremony placed volunteers at the center of the program.
