DU Legacy Celebrated in New York

More than a century after its founding, Dhaka University continues to inspire generations far beyond Bangladesh, a legacy celebrated with pride in Jamaica, New York, as alumni and community members gathered to mark the university’s 105th anniversary.
The celebration was held on July 1, 2026, at 87-41 165 Street, Jamaica, New York, and was organized by The 105th Anniversary Celebration Committee of the Dhaka University Alumni Association of USA, Inc. The event brought together graduates, supporters, and members of the Bangladeshi-American community to reflect on the university’s historic contributions to education, leadership, culture, and national development.
For many attendees, the anniversary was more than a ceremonial milestone. It was an opportunity to reconnect with memories of student life, honor the institution’s role in shaping intellectual and civic leadership, and celebrate the enduring bond shared by Dhaka University alumni living in the United States.
