Jessica Morgan:
A heartwarming Christmas Giveaway brought joy and holiday cheer to children and families in Queens Village, as Save the People USA (STPUSA) partnered with Global Impact Life Enrichment Services (GILES) to host a festive and impactful community event.
Held at 88-26 Winchester Boulevard at 4:00 PM, the event welcomed students from GILES’ after-school program for a day filled with music, laughter, and giving. With generous sponsorship from Light the World, 20 brand-new toys were gifted to students, bringing smiles and a sense of excitement during the holiday season.
The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with volunteers coming together to support the event, which also featured classic Christmas games, cheerful music, and a warm selection of appetizers for attendees. The event created a memorable space for children to celebrate, play, and receive meaningful gifts that reflect the season’s spirit of generosity.
Representing STPUSA at the event was Fatima Niass, Office Manager of Save the People USA, who helped distribute the toys and thanked the volunteers and community members for making the event successful. The collaboration with GILES, an organization focused on enrichment and education, reflects STPUSA’s ongoing commitment to uplifting underserved youth through strategic partnerships and grassroots support.
For GILES, the toy giveaway marked a celebration of their students and the progress made through their after-school programming. The initiative not only brought material gifts but also fostered a sense of recognition, appreciation, and joy among the children and families who benefit from their services.
This event was part of a broader effort by Save the People USA and Light the World to deliver joy and support to communities during the holiday season. Through simple acts of kindness like toy donations and volunteer engagement, the organizations continue to strengthen neighborhood bonds and promote values of compassion and shared responsibility.
As the evening came to a close, the message was clear: when communities come together with purpose and care, the smallest gestures can leave the biggest impact.
