Hope for the Holidays

James Anderson:

In a beautiful display of compassion and community unity, Darul Uloom New York hosted a heartwarming holiday toy and food distribution event just before the end-of-year celebrations. Organized in partnership with Save The People USA (STPUSA), and made possible through the generous support of Light the World, the event brought joy to hundreds of children and families from across Queens.

Held in Jamaica, NY, the event welcomed children from diverse backgrounds—many of whom are orphans, come from single-parent households, or belong to immigrant families facing economic hardship. With the room filled with smiles, laughter, and the spirit of giving, the distribution effort ensured that every child received a toy to take home for the holidays.

Volunteers from Save The People USA and members of the community worked together to distribute the toys and food, creating a warm and inclusive environment. Families were grateful for the support during what can be a difficult time for many, and the effort served as a powerful reminder that the holiday season is about generosity, love, and unity.

Darul Uloom New York, a respected educational and faith-based institution, played a vital role by opening its doors and hosting the event. The school’s continued commitment to serving both its students and the wider community was evident in the way it supported this initiative.

The program was funded by Light the World, an organization known for its seasonal giving campaigns. Their contribution made it possible to reach so many families and bring hope to children who might not have otherwise received holiday gifts.

This event was more than a distribution drive—it was a celebration of kindness, inclusion, and community. By coming together with a shared purpose, the organizers and volunteers proved that compassion can truly brighten lives and uplift entire neighborhoods.
