In the spirit of the holiday season, the Jamaica Hill Community Association (JHCA), in partnership with Save The People, hosted a heartwarming Toy Giveaway on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Save The People Hall, 87-41 165th Street, Jamaica, NY. The event united families, volunteers, and local organizations to spread joy and generosity ahead of the holidays.
Children from the community were welcomed with warm smiles and given the chance to select toys to take home—creating lasting memories and uplifting spirits. The atmosphere was festive and filled with gratitude, as families expressed appreciation for this thoughtful gesture during a meaningful time of year.
Among the distinguished guests were Imam Muhammad Shahidullah, CEO of Save The People USA, Fatima Niass, Office Manager of Save The People USA and others. They played active roles in welcoming attendees and supporting the event’s coordination. Their presence highlighted the deep commitment of Save The People to grassroots service and community engagement.
“This initiative was about giving back and reminding our youth that they are seen, valued, and loved,” said one of the organizers. “It’s always inspiring to witness how a simple toy can bring so much joy.”
The event was supported by several local partners, including Elhaam Academy, New York News, UNA-USA Queens Chapter, Light World Foundation, and Bangladesh Friends Society USA. Volunteers from these groups helped distribute the toys and ensure that families felt welcome and cared for.
Advance RSVP through email and QR code helped the event run smoothly, and the high turnout was a testament to the strong trust the community places in JHCA and Save The People.
Special recognition was given to the leadership and tireless volunteers of both JHCA and Save The People, whose efforts ensured every child went home with a reason to smile. As the day ended with full hearts and grateful families, the message was clear: compassion and unity remain the most powerful gifts of the season.
