SDG Book Launch: Elhaam Academy Inspires the Next Generation of Global Leaders

Noah Presley :

In a powerful demonstration of commitment to global change, Elhaam Academy, in collaboration with Save The People USA, recently launched a book focused on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event, held at Elhaam Academy, provided an opportunity for students, educators, and community members to engage with the SDGs in a meaningful way, learning how each goal plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the world.

The book, titled We Dream of the World, was developed with the aim of raising awareness among youth about the importance of sustainable development and the role they can play in contributing to a better future. It serves as both an educational tool and an inspiring call to action, highlighting the 17 SDGs established by the United Nations. The SDGs address critical issues such as poverty, inequality, climate change, peace, and justice, all of which are integral to building a more equitable and sustainable world.

The event featured an engaging session where students and educators discussed the key themes of the book, particularly the significance of youth involvement in driving global change. “This book is not just for reading, but a tool to inspire our youth to take action and build a sustainable future,” said a representative from Save The People USA. The launch also marked the start of a larger initiative that will see the SDG Academy New York collaborate with Elhaam Academy to promote sustainability through various educational activities and community outreach programs.

Imam Muhammad Shahidullah, Founder of Elhaam Academy, spoke passionately about the importance of empowering the younger generation with knowledge that can make a tangible impact on global challenges. “We hope this book will ignite a sense of responsibility in our students and encourage them to be proactive in promoting the SDGs,” he said during the event.

The launch also included the distribution of the book, along with educational materials that will further support the initiative. Participants were invited to explore the SDGs in greater depth, learning how simple actions taken locally can have a profound effect globally.

As part of the ongoing collaboration between Elhaam Academy and Save The People USA, this book launch marks just the beginning of a series of events aimed at engaging the youth of New York and beyond in conversations about sustainable development. By leveraging education and creativity, the project hopes to inspire young people to dream big, think globally, and act locally for a brighter future.
